What hardware does Certxa offer?
Certxa offers three main devices — Certxa Station (the full front desk terminal), Certxa Kiosk (the self check-in and customer-facing screen), and the Wireless Card Reader (powered by Stripe). Accessories include a customer facing screen, IP thermal receipt printer, cash drawer, and barcode scanner.
Is the card reader really free?
Yes. The Wireless Card Reader is included free with every Professional plan. No minimum processing volume required — just sign up for Professional and it ships with your account.
Is the hardware difficult to set up?
No. All Certxa hardware is plug-and-play. Connect it to your Certxa account and you're ready to go — most salons are up and running the same day their hardware arrives.
What payment types are accepted?
All Certxa hardware supports chip (EMV), contactless tap-to-pay (NFC), and major digital wallets including Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay. Swipe and keyed-in transactions are also supported.
Does the hardware work if the internet goes down?
Yes. Certxa Station includes offline mode — tickets are saved locally and synced automatically when your connection is restored. No lost sales, no interruptions.
